The social club started last year in our school and takes up various social work programs.
In today’s culture that invites disrespect, it is very necessary to teach our children to respect the elders. This year the main objective of the social club was to make the students understand that grandparents are our heritage and are essential members of our families and communities. What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort and lessons in life.
Keeping this in mind, this year social club had decided to celebrate Teachers’ Day as Grandparent’s Day. The club invited four inmates of AnnasahebBehere Old age home on 5th September and were introduced to our students and welcomed by giving roses. A short program was organized in their honour along with some refreshment. They were gifted with beautiful paper bags made by the students class VI as a part of Art Club activity. There was an apparent glow of happiness on the faces of the students as well as the inmates of the old age home.It was indeed a wonderful experience for both the students and the inmates.
The next activity planned by the Social Club is a visit to orphanage and many other such activities in the coming years.

The School Science Club has its objection as “Cultivation of an awareness of Science” and the familiarization of the students, with principles of science through their application.
It is an important phase of their life, where young students of the school, with inquisitive minds, explore the unexplored. It promotes scientific thinking among the children.
Science and Technology can bring great wonders. It can transform grains of sand into microchips, which are the brains behind our computers.
School Science Club activities are aimed to explain, exhibit and demonstrate science to induct observational, logical and analytical approach among school students. It leads to create a scientific attitude among the young students for their life-long learning.
It provides an opportunity to do something after the school, beyond academics.
Following activities were organized during this session:

In this age of speed and fast life we are exposed to various challenges. Karate training can provide these benefits along with Self-Defense. The recent incidences of abuse and assaults against women and children are not new developments. Training in our Karate classes would be the right direction for building “awareness and ability” to enable one to live a safer life.
